We should open a restaurant! Mike cooked ribs for supper tonight, using the essential Corky’s BBQ Sauce, and they were excellent! The meat fell off of the bone, begging to be eaten, while Seiko looked on, begging to eat some of them! All in all, it was an extremely satisfying meal! Kudos to Mike and his mad BBQ skills.
In this CNN article, a guy was acquitted (not guilty) of murder for allegedly watching a DVD when he had a wreck that killed two people. He says that he was not watching a DVD but was just reaching for a soda. While I think it is a terribly sad accident, a *jury* found him not guilty. The article quotes the son of one of the people who was killed as saying:
‘ “I’m very disappointed in how the justice system has to prove a case against someone who took two lives,” said David Weiser. ‘
What? What country did he grow up in? I think it is very sad that he thinks it is a bad thing that you are innocent until proven guilty!
It’s scary how someone in the United States could not understand the basics of our legal system. It’s no wonder that so many laws get passed that make us say “what in the world?!?!?”

We went to the doctor for an ultrasound and the doc says that we are having a girl! The woman giving the ultrasound hasn’t been wrong in the three years that she has worked there. Hopefully that means that we won’t have to repaint the room after we get it ready!
She was pretty active during the ultrasound. We are going to name her Tru Katherine Spiceland. The spelling of her middle name may still change.
