Baby Shower Pictures

November 22nd, 2004

Mike’s dad put baby shower pictures up here. Check them out!

Also, we found out that I do not have strep throat. The doctor is doing a more detailed culture to find out if it is another type of bacterial infection, but my sore throat is going away anyway!

*Update* I do not have any type of bacterial infection, but now I’m coming down with a nasty cold!

Seiko is Fine!

November 21st, 2004

Well as we mentioned before, Seiko had a tumor on her leg. It decreased in size so much so that neither one of us, or the vet, could even find where it used to be! The vet said that is definitely a positive sign! There is a type of tumors that young dogs get that comes up suddenly, stays awhile, and then leaves just as suddenly. He was surprised to see it in Seiko, because she’s almost 8, but he thinks that’s what it was! We think God healed her :) We prayed for her very much and He answered our prayers!

My Bunny Has a Sore Throat

November 19th, 2004

Erin has a sore throat! We find out today (12PM) whether it is strep or not. I have no idea what the ramifications on the baby might be if it is. In any event, pray for her and the baby to get well.

In other news, our HDTV card came in. We can now watch and record HDTV off of an antenna so we can cancel cable!

our new car

November 13th, 2004

We recently got a Nissan 200sx. It is economical and gets 30-40 mpg! It’s low in insurance as well. It has power windows, power locks, sunroof, and such. It is a very practical car and perfect for this stage of our life.

Prayers are working!

November 9th, 2004

Quick update: Seiko’s tumor that was the size of a grape is now smaller than a BB! We are going to the doc tomorrow to see what he thinks. Hopefully she won’t even have to have surgery. Thank you for all the prayers. Most importantly, thank you to God for looking after Seiko and us!

Update on Seiko’s tumor

November 4th, 2004

The doctor/vet called today and the pathologist reported on the cell sample they sent. He/she said that it was a “most likely benign” spindel cell tumor. She is having surgery to have it removed “just in case” on Wednesday November 11th. After it is removed they will send it in again.

The tumor shrunk by half since this monday! I asked the doctor if he might have removed that much of the volume with the needel biopsy and he highly doubted it. What do I take of it? I think it is the prayers! Thanks so much for the prayers and please pray again for the surgery that she is safe during and after.

Thanks again!

Please pray for Seiko !!!

November 1st, 2004

Everyone who knows us should know how important Seiko, our dog, is to us. Today the vet took a close look at a lump she has on her leg. He used a needle to extract some cells from inside the lump and looked at it under a microscope. He said that it didn’t look good and needed to send it to Birmingham to get a pathology report on it. If it is cancer, then it will surely have to be removed. The surgery would have risks and would be stressfull to her. Beyond that, there would be fears of where else the cancer may be. Before we speculate that, we hope and pray that the pathology report tells us that it is benign and that we have nothing to worry about.

Regardless, please put Seiko in your prayers. Please pray that God heal her and keep her safe.
