We reorganized our photos

December 27th, 2005

We reorganized our photos, so things might not be exactly where you expect them to be the next time you look through our photo gallery, but its more user-friendly now, so hopefully it’ll take our visitors less time to figure out where things are!

Baby Keyboard

December 27th, 2005

Tru loves all of her gifts and has been playing with them all day :-P

One of the gifts that she got for her birthday is a Berchet baby keyboard. Basically, it fits over your normal keyboard and presents the baby with just a few buttons. It comes with some software that is pretty much just nicely done flash animation that leads them through hitting the buttons to see different things happen on the screen.

Tru is at the younger side of being able to use it. When we first fired it up she played with it for 30 minutes completely involved. When we tried to capture it on video she was a bit tired and Seiko was playing in the background and it distracted her. Nonetheless, here is a video.

Christmas

December 22nd, 2005

Merry Christmas!

Ok, so its a bit early. But for us, Christmas already started and won’t end until late Sunday night. My Mom and sister came in town for Tru’s birthday and we decided to do a local Christmas together before they left. Things should stay exciting for Tru all they time until we wrap up things with my Dad on Sunday night!

We’ll be updating the pictures throughout the rest of the season.

The pictures are here.

Random Stuff

December 14th, 2005

A few random things:

Does anyone have an x10 receiver I can borrow? I know some of you ordered some of those firecracker starter kits with me. I have lots of left over x10 stuff but I cannot use it because I can’t find my receiver.

We’re looking for a temporary home for a full sized bed. We don’t have room for it but don’t want to get rid of it. If you could use it, let us know.

Wolves or Coyotes in Madison

December 14th, 2005

I saw a pack of brown wolves/coyotes on the way to work. I called Erin and she got some pictures of them. Take a look at them. Do you think they are wolves or coyotes? I want to think they are wolves becuase it is more exciting. They are about the size of Seiko.

Here is a google map of the location.

News Clip

December 11th, 2005

I was editing some home movies for family and found a short news clip on the end of the tape. It is nothing special but a tad interresting beacuse it is 13 years old (just to see what news looked like back then) and it is about the Gulf War. Its strange to see how similiar it looks to what you might find if you turned on the TV now-a-days.

Really Good Sermons

December 7th, 2005

We want to share some really good sermons with you from a Church in Knoxville. I don’t quite know how well they will be received without you already knowing the minister’s style, but still they are worth sharing. It is a 2 part sermon from normal Sunday mornings for this Church. Please download and listen to them. If you cannot figure it out or would rather have a CD, just let us know and we’ll mail them to you on a CD.

Right click on the link and choose “save as.”

Helping Others at Christmastime

December 7th, 2005

We don’t need anything for Christmas. We ask that those who would have bought us a Christmas present, if you haven’t already bought us something but were planning to, please give to someone in need instead. You could sponsor a child through Compassion International. We have sponsored a little girl from the Phillipines a while back and it seems to be really good.
