Well as we mentioned before, Seiko had a tumor on her leg. It decreased in size so much so that neither one of us, or the vet, could even find where it used to be! The vet said that is definitely a positive sign! There is a type of tumors that young dogs get that comes up suddenly, stays awhile, and then leaves just as suddenly. He was surprised to see it in Seiko, because she’s almost 8, but he thinks that’s what it was! We think God healed her
We prayed for her very much and He answered our prayers!
Quick update: Seiko’s tumor that was the size of a grape is now smaller than a BB! We are going to the doc tomorrow to see what he thinks. Hopefully she won’t even have to have surgery. Thank you for all the prayers. Most importantly, thank you to God for looking after Seiko and us!

The doctor/vet called today and the pathologist reported on the cell sample they sent. He/she said that it was a “most likely benign” spindel cell tumor. She is having surgery to have it removed “just in case” on Wednesday November 11th. After it is removed they will send it in again.
The tumor shrunk by half since this monday! I asked the doctor if he might have removed that much of the volume with the needel biopsy and he highly doubted it. What do I take of it? I think it is the prayers! Thanks so much for the prayers and please pray again for the surgery that she is safe during and after.
Thanks again!
Michael
Everyone who knows us should know how important Seiko, our dog, is to us. Today the vet took a close look at a lump she has on her leg. He used a needle to extract some cells from inside the lump and looked at it under a microscope. He said that it didn’t look good and needed to send it to Birmingham to get a pathology report on it. If it is cancer, then it will surely have to be removed. The surgery would have risks and would be stressfull to her. Beyond that, there would be fears of where else the cancer may be. Before we speculate that, we hope and pray that the pathology report tells us that it is benign and that we have nothing to worry about.
Regardless, please put Seiko in your prayers. Please pray that God heal her and keep her safe.

Well, we jumped into summer this weekend. On Saturday, Michael, Seiko, and I went hiking along with our friend Patrick and his dog Pup. We found all these really neat trails in the hills east of Huntsville with lots of rocks and “creatures,” as Mike calls them! Every so often, we’d come upon a dried up river bed, full of smooth rocks and stagnant puddles. There were often hundreds of tadpoles in each puddle we came across. It was obvious that there had been water there recently, and probably would be again when the rainy season hits in mid to late summer.
On Sunday we were so tired from hiking all day Saturday that we slept right through church. We had a picnic breakfast of biscuits and gravy, along with fresh fruits. We bought boiled peanuts and ate them outside. It was warm and sunny, so we laid outside for an hour or so. Mike got red, but I didn’t get any sun! For dinner, we went to our friend Mike and Dana’s house for whole smoked chicken and fresh corn. Yum!
We went camping this weekend in Sipsey National Forest. Check the pictures out in our photo gallery.
